Privacy notice

This notice explains what personal data highgroundacquisitions.com collects, why, and what you can do about it. The site has no analytics, no cookies and no local storage. Fonts are self-hosted. Form submissions are sent to a Google Apps Script endpoint that writes to a Google Sheet (see below).
The high-ground explorer, trade-off matrix and checklist run entirely in your browser. Nothing you enter there is sent or stored unless you choose to add it to a form and submit it.
Who is responsible
The controller is Humanity Solutions, KvK 71110178, BTW NL002466080B20, Hamerstraat 67D, 2512 CX The Hague, the Netherlands (trade name Foresight Transitions). For any privacy question or request, email connectwithus@humanitysolutions.net.
Contact forms
When you send a form on this site, Humanity Solutions is the sole controller of your data. We use your name, email, message and any form answers to handle and reply to your request (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)). Marketing updates are sent by email only if you tick the separate optional box (Art. 6(1)(a)); unsubscribe via the link in every mail or by emailing connectwithus@humanitysolutions.net.
Submissions are processed in the Google Workspace account used by Humanity Solutions (trade name Foresight Transitions). Google is our processor; transfers to the US are covered by the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
Humanity Solutions runs several brands and websites. Your submission may be shared across Humanity Solutions brands where needed to handle your request. It is not sold or shared with third parties for their own purposes.
We delete submissions 12 months after our last contact with you (automatic monthly clean-up). This includes marketing opt-ins, unless your address has been moved to a mailing tool that has its own privacy notice. You can ask for access, correction or deletion at any time via connectwithus@humanitysolutions.net, and you may complain to the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
If the form cannot reach the endpoint, you are shown our email address so you can write to us directly instead. An alert about each submission goes to us.
Fields on this site
The contact form may also include company or organisation, what you would like to discuss, and a location or portfolio. If you use the explorer, trade-off matrix or checklist buttons, a summary of your choices is added to the message field, where you can edit or delete it before sending. The partner enquiry form, for developers and acquisition brokers, may include company, role and region. Neither form requires a consent checkbox; replies rest on Art. 6(1)(b).
Who else processes data for the site
- Hostinger hosts this website. Like most web servers, it keeps technical logs (such as IP address, browser type, time and page requested) to run and secure the site.
Transfers outside the EU
Google is a US company. Transfers of form and email data to the United States are covered by the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (see Contact forms above).
How long we keep it
Form submissions are deleted 12 months after our last contact (automatic monthly clean-up), as set out under Contact forms. If a submission leads to an assignment, we keep what tax and bookkeeping law requires (7 years) and delete the rest 2 years after the assignment ends. Hosting logs are kept by Hostinger for a limited period to run and secure the site.
Links to other sites
This site links to public sources such as the NASA sea level projection tool, the IPCC, Copernicus and national elevation and flood-map services, and to related Humanity Solutions initiatives (Restructuring Supply Chains, Heat Protection Solutions, Water Protection Club). If you open them, those sites handle your visit under their own privacy terms. We do not see what you look up there.
Your rights
You can ask us for access to your data, to correct or delete it, to restrict or object to its use, and to receive it in a portable format. Email connectwithus@humanitysolutions.net. We reply within one month. You also have the right to complain to the Dutch data protection authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens (opens in a new tab).
We do not use automated decision-making or profiling.
